Tierra del Feugo
The famous island known as the Land of Fire is at the end of the Patagonia and a perfect place for adventure travelers. The region is a vast expanse of lakes, mountains, and sheep farms on the Chilean side while the Argentine side includes the Darwin Range and the capital of Ushuaia. Often, the region can be quite chilly, which may be in contrast to its name. However, many historians believe that the name originates from the orange and crimson beech forest that covers some of the region or the fires lit by the Yahgan tribe to keep warm. You can take a trip aboard the Beagle, a ferry that pies through the Beagle Channel with its blue glaciers and green peaks that wind down to the water's edge.
La Serena
Located at the gateway to the Elqui Valley in the heart of the mountains, La Serena is home to several international observatories. Stargazing under a clear sky with your loved one can be one of the most romantic moments of your lifetime. Then there is always the option to relax and enjoy the most beautiful sandy beaches and visit the church created by Gustave Eiffel. The tranquil town is dotted with colonial homes with the most splendid architecture.
Chile is a perfect vacation destination almost all year round. However, you may want to pick your dates carefully if you wish to stick to a specific region. Areas like the Lakes District and Torres del Paine are ideal to visit from November through March. For skiers, July through September is the best time spend the perfect skiing vacation.
